Brand-new funeral home in Hull

Located on Boulevard Saint-Joseph, our brand-new funeral home sits on the same land where our previous building sat. The new facility is a comfortable place in which to honour your loved one. With modern amenities and flexible spaces, the funeral home features neutral colors, stonework detailing, modern furniture and an abundance of natural light.

We have two entrances—one on Boulevard Saint-Joseph and the other from our private parking lot behind the building. Due to the high traffic along Boulevard Saint-Joseph, guests typically arrive through the back entrance. From there, you enter the reception area, followed by the chapel to the right and visitation parlor to the left. The chapel is a large, open space in which to host a service. With chair seating for 75 guests, it can be configured to your needs.

The visitation parlour offers a lounge-like setting, with black leather couches and chairs. A moving wall can be opened or closed depending on the number of guests expected. The parlour can also be used for overflow from the chapel and includes televisions for livestreaming.

The lobby includes both a staircase and an elevator to the second floor, where you can find our reception room, two conference-style arrangement rooms and columbarium.

The reception room has a beautiful view of the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, Ontario, and comfortably accommodates up to 145 guests with tables and chairs. It's perfect for a catered reception. A catering kitchen directly off the reception room includes plenty of prep space, a refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave.

History

In 1908, Adélard Beauchamp founded his first funeral home in Hull, Quebec, naming it Maison funéraire Beauchamp. After Adélard passed away in March 1956, his son and later his grandsons continued to be actively involved in the Hull community. 

In 1985, with the acquisition of Maison funéraire Lionel Emond, the company became bigger and merged to become Funérarium Beauchamp. With offices in Hull, Aylmer and Gatineau, Funérarium Beauchamp became the largest funeral company in the Outaouais region. 

In 1993, we became a member of the Dignity Memorial^® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers. In 2011, the funeral home changed its name to Maison funéraire Racine, Robert & Gauthier Beauchamp. Though our funeral home has seen many changes over the years, we are proud to continue our longstanding commitment to professional service and dignified funeral care.
